Davistown lunch train and ferry trip
On Wednesday 22nd November 2023, members of our Austral Probus group caught the train from Leppington at 8:08 am to Strathfield then onto Woy Woy. Here they walked briskly as the train was late, to meet the Davistown ferry which Michael held up so the slower walkers could get on.
Our members crammed onto the ferry which was already very full with a group of cyclists and another group of disabled travellers in wheelchairs, so our guys fitted right in!
A nice scenic river cruise to the Davistown dock where they were met by the courtesy bus from the club, not all could fit on the bus so the remainder decided to walk the short distance to the club.
Our members enjoyed a lovely lunch with a few drinks while enjoying the excellent views from the club. They enjoyed it so much they missed the next ferry and had to wait for the last one.
Back on the train, this was an all stations train so a very long journey home, but everyone had a great time.
