BOWRAL TULIP FESTIVAL BUS TRIP
On Wednesday 25th September, 46 members and friends gathered at Antegra Estate to board the coach to Bowral Tulip Festival. This was the first time we have hired a full coach and driver and it was a great experience. The drive to Bowral was a pleasant one hour journey, we were met at the front entrance and guided straight through to the Gardens as we had pre-paid the entry fee. The gardens were spectacular and there were many small vendors and eateries scattered around the Gardens. We were also entertained by a group of young school children who played and sang in the Atrium in the centre of the gardens.
After a group photo (shown above) we re-boarded our coach for a short trip to Mittagong RSL for our lunch, again we were ushered through to a private function room where we were served up a great buffet lunch of Roast Pork (with Crackle) apple sauce, gravy, potatoes, ham, roast chicken, coleslaw, salad and bread rolls. There was plenty of food and some went back for seconds. Tea and coffee was also available from the back of the room.
After a very hearty lunch we ambled out to the bus for another group photo, then climbed aboard for our trip back home. One lucky traveller Michael Clarke won the special prize for the day, a nice bottle of wine.
Bags of lollies were circulated during the journey and not many were returned.
A great time was had by all. See Photos below.
